The Department of Indiana welcomes you to the In-State Legacy Run to benefit the Indiana American Legion Foundation. The Department is hosting a ride open to roadworthy motorcycles and trikes only (no slingshots), that will originate in six different starting locations throughout the state and then gather at Post 64. EST, American Legion Post #2, 10N Depot St, Brazil, IN 47834 (Southwest) 9:00 A.M. EST, American Legion Post #44, 711 State St, Newburgh, IN 47630 (Northeast) 9:00 A.M. EST, American Legion Post #47, 601 Reed Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46815 (East) 9:00 A.M. EST, American Legion Post #65, 109 N 6th St, Richmond, IN (Southeast) 9:00 A.M. EST, American Legion Post #9, 707 Jefferson St, Madison, IN 47250 The annual motorcycle ride raises funds for The American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund , which provides financial assistance with college for children of U.S. military personnel killed while on active duty on or after Sept. 11, 2001, as well as for children of post-9/11 veterans with a combined disability rating of 50 percent or greater by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Last year’s ride raised a record $1,324,548 – the eighth time the Legacy Run has surpassed $1 million.
